Description
This memorial is in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco, Maine. This photograph would work well on display in a hospital chapel, or any similar place that comforts people grieving from loss. The inscription reads, "This is a journey we all must take, and we all must go alone. This is a part of the master's plan, now heaven is my home. When you're feeling lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know. Bury your sorrow in doing good deeds. Miss me, but let me go." This appears to be a slightly altered portion of the poem "Miss Me, but Let Me Go" by an unknown author.
Kirsten and I (Chris) try to capture the beauty and splendor of New England. I don't think this piece is an exception. Every life has to end, and mourning the loss of a loved one is a natural part of that process. However, for those that believe, the loss of a loved one can also be very beautiful. God's love can break the deepest sorrow.
